Product Empties #4

There is nothing better than getting rid of clutter and (finally) being able to write an empties post, especially with the new year giving a fresh start to things! Some of these have been waiting for a while to be in a post, but here are my most recent empties and what I thought of them.

First few items up are skincare! I love using face wipes (even though I know they aren't great for your skin!), they're really easy to use and most of the time do a great job of removing makeup. I wanted to try out the Simple Spotless Skin Quick Fix facial wipes to see if they did the job in helping clear up my skin! They smelt quite nice and fresh and did a good job at cleansing my skin. I didn't really notice a difference with my spots, but they were good to use. I also finished a pack of the Primark Micellar Water Wipes and I have to say that these worked wonders! They worked super well at removing makeup, without having to pull at my face and only needed a few swipes on my eyes to get rid of all residue. They're also incredibly affordable! I think they were £1 for a double pack! I definitely want to get my hands on these again after I finish my current pack.
I also finished my first bottle of Garnier Micellar Water. This has lasted me literately around a year, even with me using it almost everyday! I absolutely loved this stuff, I usually wash my makeup off on the night with my main face wash and then use this on a morning to cleanse my face before putting my makeup on. This is also really good for removing makeup and I will be buying this again in the future. Last up here is the Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub. I mainly used this as my travel face wash and if I'm honest, I wasn't in love with it. I didn't really find that it scrubbed my face how I usually find a scrub to work and I didn't like the scent either. I usually find myself quite happy with Simple products but I don't think I'll be buying this again.

Next up is smelly stuff! I'm always up for finding new deodorants, because I'm a smelly git and a lot of the time it doesn't last me throughout the day (I am loving Dove deodorant and antiperspirant at the moment though!). I tried the Garnier Mineral Invisible Antiperspirant and I have to say, I found it pretty rubbish. The scent itself was pretty nice, but it did still leave white marks and it almost felt as though it made me smell worse! Usually within an hour or so of using this it had worn off and I kept having to use it throughout the day, so I won't be buying this again. Next up is the first ever perfume I have finished. It's Avril Lavigne's Forbidden Rose and I think I have had this since I was around 13! I can't really describe the scent and although it was a really nice scent, it's not my favourite so I don't think I will buy it again.
I finished 2 body sprays out of my abundant collection! I've always loved Impulse's Into Glamour and I think this is the 2nd one I have finished of this scent. It's a sandalwood and vanilla scent and it works on everyday occasions! I also finished a Charlie Red, and I think everyone knows this scent! It's such a popular body spray and it is really nice to use! I have a couple more scents to use up before I buy any more but I think I would look into getting this again.
Last up in this section is a shower gel. Even though I wash regularly (you know, as I mentioned early being a bit of a sweaty betty!) it seems that it takes me AGES to get through shower gel! Even little travel size shower gels seem to take me ages, but this Mandara Spa Island Paradise got used up so quickly because it smelt so good! It was such a fresh scent and these shower gels lather up brilliantly! As with the body sprays, I have a back log of shower gels so I will need to finish those before I buy any more but I would consider getting this one again!

Last category is makeup and miscellaneous! One of my main makeup staples is the Rimmel Stay Matte face powder. This was my second pot and although it looks as though there is quite a lot left it had dried up. I love this because it really keeps my makeup in place and does add a little extra coverage. I've already bought my backup stock and I don't plan on changing anytime soon! I'm always on the lookout for new foundations and I wanted to try the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation. This was actually really nice to use on my skin, I couldn't really feel it and it was even coverage over my skin. The only problem I found was it wasn't quite good enough coverage for me. It's a great foundation for people with average skin who just want a bit more of an even skin tone, but for me it wasn't quite high enough coverage! I also finished an ELF eye primer. I have honestly had this primer since before the store originally shut down in England! So I should have probably thrown this out a while ago, but it didn't smell or change consistency so I just carried on! This is just a general eye primer and works as expected. It applies evenly and gives that soft, smooth feel to the eye. It did help keep my eyeshadow in place, but no different to any other eye primer I tried. Another makeup item I finished which I forgot to photograph is the Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Oil Control Fixing Spray. At first I didn't think I noticed a difference when using this, but once I stopped I definitely saw what it did for me! This spray is great for fixing your makeup in place and making sure that your face doesn't get too oily during the day. Sometimes when I don't use this my foundation transfers a lot more and my skin doesn't feel as smooth. So I'm so glad that I repurchased this! Last up is a little candle. This was a Gingerbread candle I bought from Home Bargains and I honestly love how this smells! I used it all throughout Christmas and it just makes your home smell so sweet and cosy! This is the second of these scents that I have bought and no doubt I will be buying one again ready for next Christmas!

So those were all of my empties over the past few months! I can't wait to get started on some new things! Have you tried any of these products out? What are your most recent empties? Let me know!

Until next time...
