Films watched in June

  1. Disaster Movie: Well, I can honestly say that this month started off with a diabolic film! Me and the bf were deciding what to watch and he said that this is quite a good film and that he had watched it before. I cringed throughout the majority of the film, found most of the 'jokes' completely unfunny and all in all just thought it was utter dog sh*t. It wasn't until the entire movie ended that my boyfriend realised it WASN'T the film he remembered, haha! He thought it was awful too. So overall, just don't even waste your time on this! Rating:
  2. Passengers: I started watching this film a couple of months ago but ended up having to leave before I finished watching it. I was actually really intrigued to find out what was going to happen which was surprising as I wasn't expecting to like it. (Don't shoot me, I'm just not a big fan of Chris Pratt or Jennifer Lawrence) But when I finished it this time around I can actually say that I enjoyed watching it! There were a few things I thought about that I don't think worked fully but overall there really wasn't much to complain about! Rating: ★★★★
  3. Tekken Blood Vengeance: So this is another Tekken movie but this time it is animated and it is a lot easier to see which character is which! This story mainly follows Xiaoyu and Alisa and I thought it was really good! I really enjoyed the story and I loved actually being able to see the characters as they look in the game. Can I just say, Panda is SO cute! One of my favourite scenes is when the Kazama family are fighting because they join up with each other to beat each other up, while each of them try to beat the other 2 up. It's really difficult to explain but it is honestly such a great scene and even if you don't want to watch the whole film, I would recommend watching that scene! Even though I don't really have much to say on this film, if you enjoy the game I think it is definitely worth a watch. Rating: ★★★★
  4. Pirates of the Carribean- Dead Men Tell No Tales/Salazar's Revenge: Honestly, what is the actual name of this film?! I see it switch through both names in England, so I'm super confused! Either way, I was super excited when I found this film was coming out (I think I found out the year before last!) and couldn't wait to go and see it! It turned out to be really good and it was really funny, even though there are jokes in all of the films I think that they really pulled them out in this film! The story was good too, there were lots of things that linked to the older films and I'm really glad about that, as I thought it was going to be completely separate. If you are a lover of the pirates films (and I'm ashamed if you're not!) then check this out, because it does not disappoint! Rating: ★★★★★
  5. Hostel Part I: For literally years people have been telling me to check out the Hostel films. I love the saw films and a lot of people were comparing them to those, but after watching it I didn't really think they were that similar. Sure, there was quite a bit of gore, but at the same time I found that there was a lot more of a story and bits that you could piece together. Although the Saw films are some of my favourites, I found this quite refreshing and I was glad that it wasn't that similar. The only part I couldn't watch was *spoiler* the part where the tendons at the back of his ankles get cut! My mom snapped her tendon when she was younger and ever since then I can't even touch that part on my own foot so I could NOT watch them be cut! Other than that, I thought it was a great film and I'll definitely check out the other parts to it! Rating: ★★★★★
New films watched: 10/101

So those were all of the films I've watched this month! I think I'm making good progress on my 101 films and I'm really enjoying writing these posts! Have you seen any of these films? What have you watched this month and have you got any new favourites? Let me know!

Until next time...

  1. I loved the new Pirates of the Caribbean, the ending made me cry! So much better than the fourth one in my opinion. Hostel is a good one too, though I found the second one scarier for some reason x

    1. I loved the film, it made me so happy! When you see Elizabeth I turned round and went "Where did you go swanning of to?" and I was howling in the cinema laughing! I did really like Hostel too! It was a lot different to how I thought it would be but I will watch the second one soon xox
