A Day at Stratford Butterfly Farm!

One of my main goals this year is to get out and see more places, do more things, visit more cities! If you follow me on Instagram (darkeowl *wink wink*), then you may have noticed a couple of pictures from when I visited Stratford with my boyfriend! The main reason for the visit was to go to the butterfly farm, and I took quite a few photos so I thought it would be nice to share them with you!
It was pretty easy to find and wasn't a long walk from the car park. The garden area walking up to the main centre was beautiful. It was filled with really pretty plants and ornaments and felt quite relaxing. There were places to sit and little secluded areas where you could relax.

The inside of the butterfly centre was actually amazing. The space in which the butterflies live was really big, apparently it is the biggest tropical butterfly farm in the centre! It was really easy to navigate and there were benches dotted around the place so you could sit and just watch the butterflies past you. It was very humid, obviously to keep the tropical critters happy, but it wasn't overwhelming that you felt you needed to get out. Seriously though, there were butterflies EVERYWHERE! It was so so pretty to see them all flying around and it was difficult to spot the same types of butterfly when looking. The place was filled with plants and it was like a little jungle.

There were little rooms that were separate from the main room that contained different insects too! There were some little lizards in there as well and one room was filled with tanks of ants that had ropes coming out of the top so that they could carry their leaves into different sections! It was super cool to see them walking across with little sections of leaf that that they had nibbled off!

Anyway, enough of the rambling, here are some of the beautiful butterflies!

Speak to you next time!
