Nails Inc. NailKale | Review

Although I always do Nails of the Week posts on my blog, I never really do reviews of the products I use, but I just could not miss out on reviewing this product! To find out what I think, carry on reading...

I received this polish in a Look Incredible box a couple of months ago. I've already used it a few times and I just have to say, I honestly do think that it works brilliantly! The idea of this polish is to repair and strengthen your nails when you need it, while still making them look fab! The colour I have is Westbourne Park Road and it is a beautiful natural taupe colour that can be worn all year round and fits all occasions. It's a natural colour but makes your nails look elegant.

The formula of this polish is lovely. It applies really smoothly and fills out the nail, without being too thin. It only requires 2 or 3 thin coats to become opaque and does just sit smooth on the nail. It dries pretty quickly, quicker than a lot of my other polishes, and even without a top coat looks silky.

The colour is a beautiful taupe. It's quite cool toned and is really great for a natural colour. I really like the way that it looks against my skin colour and I think that this works great for when you want a natural colour, but still want something there.

Lasting Power
This actually lasts pretty well. I never put a top coat when I'm using this polish but it still lasts for around 4/5 days without chipping! To say that I use my hands a lot throughout the day it's really nice to know that there is a substantial polish that can last through normal day-to-day chores.

Nail Care
So, the main aim of this polish. As I have said above, this polish is supposed to help restore your nails and this is why you are not supposed to use a base coat underneath. I do actually think that this has helped repair my nails and this actually shocked me! I did expect this to be a bit of a gimmick polish but I found that after I used it and removed it, my nails seemed to be stronger. I sometimes have problems with my nails, they tend to be quite brittle and snap quickly. After I used this though, some of the cracks that I previously had didn't seem as bad. Now I know that it won't work miracles, but it did seem to help my nails become more flexible and less prone to cracking. So I was impressed by that!

Overall Thoughts
Altogether, I think these polishes are a great idea. If you paint your nails often, then these are a great choice to give your nails a sort of break, without flashing bare nails! the colour selection is great and although they are a bit more expensive than what I usually pay for nail polish, I think I would consider getting some more of these polishes for when I fancy a change!

Have you used the NailKale polishes? What do you think of them? Or are you thinking about trying them? Let me know!

Until next time...
