The end of Christmas means the beginning of the sales! I've never been one for buying something on impulse just because it's cheaper than it should be, however I saw lots of things before Christmas that I wanted to try but thought I would hold off until the sales came! I'm really happy with what I bought so keep on reading to find out!
The first thing I bought I had been drooling over since I first saw it! I knew that after Christmas, regardless of whether it had been reduced or not I would buy it! It's the Urban Decay Full Spectrum Palette and luckily it was in the sales, I got it for £34 instead of £43! I didn't actually know that this was limited edition so I'm really glad I snatched it up when I did! I'm planning to do a swatch post on this palette soon so keep your eyes peeled for that!
I also went on a bit of a spending spree in the Yankee Candle shop too. I got a couple of votives that were half price because they were festive scents and I love them both so didn't want to miss out for another year. I bought 'Season of Peace' which is a comforting minty scent, and 'All is Bright' which I received in the advent calendar and think smells so so lovely! I also bought some Fragrance of the Month scents which were 25% off. I bought some 'Red Raspberry' tea lights and a 'Lemongrass and Ginger' small jar. I think the Red Raspberry smells like Calpol and both will be lovely scents for the spring!
After my best friend bought me a little Lush collection for Christmas, I had to go and buy some more, because the angel shaped one made my skin feel SO soft and I wanted to see if they had any more like it! I ended up going a little overboard (for me, anyway) and bought 2 bubble bars, and 2 bath bombs. I've always wanted to try Dragons Egg so I bought one of those because the scent is just so lovely and I think it would be great if the scent lasted on your skin. I also bought Sakura, which my best friend recommended and I really can't wait to use! I've always wanted The Comforter Bubble Bar and I finally took the plunge (hehe) and bought it! It smells so so sweet and fruity! The product I actually went in for, which was the bubble bear (I think that's what it was called anyway...) they didn't have so I bought Milky Bath instead, as that also had cocoa butter in and I thought it would be similar! I really can't wait to use these and I still have some left from my Christmas presents!
I love my Nyx Suede Lipstick in 'Stone Fox' so I thought I'd get a few more products of theirs! Everyone loves their Jumbo Pencil in Milk for a base so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and get one of those! I've already used it a few times and I have to say it does make my eye shadows pop! I also bought a couple more of their Suede Lipsticks, I got the shade 'Oh, Put It On' which is a very dark purple shade (that tends to bleed out my lip lines quite a bit!) and the shade 'Foul Mouth' which, in the tube looks like a slightly lighter purple than the other colour, but on the lips comes out more of a navy blue (which I have NO issue with, it looks great!).
I was so excited for Sherlock to come back to TV! I've loved it ever since it came out and I couldn't wait for the new series! I have the other 3 series' on DVD in a little boxset but I didn't have the DVD of 'The Abominable Bride' so with it being on offer in HMV I thought I'd snatch it up!
I also bought a new Penguin Classics cloth covered book from Waterstones because I think they are absolutely beautiful and I love reading! I bought Frankenstein with a voucher from my aunty and I think I'm stocked up for books for the rest of the year!
So that was everything I picked up on my little shopping spree! I'm really happy with everything I've bought and I always get really excited to try new things out! Have you picked any bargains up in the sale?
Until next time...
