Payday Haul!

I got paid recently and I cannot tell you how happy I am! I've been trying to restrict what I've been buying for myself these past few months so that I can pay off my car a little bit quicker. It's been hard because I've seen lots of things I wanted but I've managed to resist and I've taken the cost of my car down a lot! So, I thought I'd treat myself after getting paid, and I can tell you now... I bought a LOT... Keep on reading to see what I picked up...

The first thing I got my hands on was the Deluxe Yankee Candle advent Calendar. I'd wanted this all through October but thought there was no point in buying it since I couldn't open it until December anyway! I finally got my hands on it so that I can start it on the 1st December and I'm really excited to get it started because the candle scents are mainly the ones I like, instead of the spicy Christmas scents which I really don't enjoy! I picked this up for £30 from the Yankee Candle store and also bought my mom one as part of her Christmas present.

Carrying on with the candle theme, I bought 2 new candles. I bought Season of Peace from Yankee Candle because I bought this for my mom last year and it just has a really nice minty scent. The other candle I bought was from Home Bargains and it's the gingerbread candle I've seen a lot of people enjoying. As said above, I don't like spice scented candles but this one is actually pretty sweet and doesn't smell too strong. I definitely have my stock of Christmas candles ready and should probably start burning a few more to get them down a bit!

The next thing I bought was Rimmel's Stay Matte Face Powder. My face powder has been dwindling and I've been trying to keep it going until I got paid. I was using Collection's Lasting Finish powder, which I originally really enjoyed, however I think something happened with my newest one because as time went on it got more and more dry and harder to apply with my brush. I've been using the Rimmel powder for about a week now and although I'm not too keen on the perfume in it, it's working great and really sets my foundation well!
I also picked up some more face masks (although I should REALLY use up some of the ones I already have ...). The 2 Montagne Jeunesse ones are both exclusive to Primark and I'm looking forward to using them because they both have a Festive feel to them and I'm excited to see how they work! The other face mask I picked up was from Bodycare and I got this because of how much I LOVED the Montagne Jeunesse Charcoal mask (see my post on  that one here). I wanted to get the tube of the Montage Jeunesse one but I couldn't find it anywhere and I think this will be a close match.

I needed some more clothes too (well, I say I need...) and I thought now would be a great time to get some as a lot of the clothes I'd liked the look of on EMP were discounted! I picked up this long cardigan which is actually really long but it looks great and definitely helps take the chill off when in work!

I'd been eyeing up another top too, and it was this pretty red tie-dye top, which was also reduced and I'd wanted for ages! It's so flowy and is just so comfortable to wear!

The last thing I bought form EMP were these AWESOME octopus leggings. I love things to do with the sea and I just don't care what I wear these with, they will look awesome and I just had to have them!

The 2 for £15 on Disney was happening too. I was actually hoping to get Bolt, because I LOVE that film! Unfortunately though they didn't have any in stock, so I had to settle with Lady and the Tramp and The Lion King (I say settle for... I am definitely not complaining!). I love this packaging and I do really want to build my collection of this design!

Remember when everyone was raving about this face wash on YouTube? I do! I finished my St Ives Apricot face wash, which I really enjoyed using, and decided to try something new. I saw the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Scrub in Bodycare and remembered when everyone loved it and used it in their 'everyday skincare routine'! Depending on how this works with my skin I might have a review in the future.

One thing I always need to stock up on are my felt liners! I absolutely love the formula and design of felt liners, they're so easy to use! This is another product I've seen a lot of hype around and it's the Miss Sporty felt liner. It has a really long precise tip and I think this will be a great liner to use, I'll let you know how it goes! I also bought a makeup fixing spray as I find that they do work really well to help keep your makeup stay in place all day. This one from Makeup Revolution was pretty affordable and I trust the brand so I thought I'd give it a go. I also picked up an eye primer from MUR as I find a lot of my eye shadows tend to fade during the day.

The last thing I picked up was a scrapbook from Paperchase. For quite a while now I've been wanting to start a holidays scrapbook and I finally took the plunge and bought one! I'm really excited to start it up because I love making and designing things and it will mean I can reminisce about previous pleasures!

Well, that was my haul for this month! Well done if you're still with me because to be honest... that was a lot of stuff! If you've tried any of these things then let me know what you thought of them! Next month will be more of a Christmas present haul so that probably won't be shared on here because I don't want people seeing what they're getting! I hope you've enjoyed this and I'll probably end up reviewing some of the products I bought, so keep your eyes open for that!

Until next time...
