ModelCo Illusion Lip Enhancer with this months GLAMOUR

I love freebies! Especially when they turn out better than you expected! I haven't bought Glamour Magazine (or any magazine for that matter) for a fair few months because I've been trying to cut down on how much I spend and I haven't seen anything that really caught my fancy. But I'm a sucker for lip products and this month I saw a lip liner that seemed a little different (maybe just the name) being offered with Glamour. So, I thought I'd treat myself and I have to say, I've been pleasantly surprised...

So this is a lip liner, or lip enhancer, from the brand ModelCo. It claims that you can enhance your lips and create a better shape for your lips as it is a skin/lip coloured pencil that gives you all the possibilities! It's one of these products that says 'One Shade Suits All', which I'm a bit skeptical of because of course, not everything suits everyone or is made for their skin tone.

When I first took it out of the box I was terrified! It looked like a beige/brown colour and I thought there would be no way that it would suit my skin tone.

I don't have very big or full lips so I thought I'd test the claim the liner makes and tried to create a shape slightly larger than my natural lips. I focused mainly on my top lip as there isn't very much there. I found that the colour was a lot better suited to my lips than originally thought, although up close you could see a difference between my natural lip colour and where the liner had been added, but it wasn't too extreme.

From further away it's more difficult to see
the difference in colour.

The liner definitely made my lips fuller and it didn't look unnatural either! Since the colour difference would bother me slightly throughout the day I decided to fill in all of my lips, this would also give me an indication of the actual colour of the liner too.

The colour is really good and is definitely natural! I have to say, even with my light skin tone the shade matches really well and does enhance the shape of my lips! With most liners they tend to feel dry on the lips but this doesn't seem to be the case! It doesn't feel as though I'm wearing anything on my lips and doesn't seem to wear off easily, even with eating and drinking. It's really creamy and applies smoothly to both the skin on your lips and the skin around them for enhancement.

At £16 I'm not sure if I would repurchase this or find a cheaper alternative. But for the £2 that I spent on Glamour I definitely think I have benefited and will certainly be using this again in the future! If you're a fan of lip products or need an extra boost to your lips, I'd give this a go, especially if you can get it with this months Glamour! If you do try it, or have tried it before, please let me know how you get on with it because I'm really interested in what your views are!
Speak to you next week!
